What can we do to help with our inner connection? A lot of us become very overwhelmed at the prospect of developing or even starting a practice of meditation. Meditation is merely awareness. You have everything you need within you to begin to meditate. You do not have to have the ability to empty your mind or be good at meditation to begin. Merely being aware and noticing how you feel, what you are thinking and focusing on your breath and what is distracting you is a practice of meditation. The key is consistency and the beauty of a consistent practice is that it is like building blocks and as time goes you get closer and closer to your true being.

The answers you are looking for can be found right where you are. Your power is always in the present moment. Meditation helps you know where you are in time and space. It helps you know things in your heart, the true knowing. You feel it. It can be 5 minutes a day or an hour, depending on what works for you. We can let go of the mystery and fear around meditation. It is simply practicing mindful awareness during your day or while walking, or sitting each morning and evening.

The beauty of meditation is that it allows you to experience yourself as you are without the mind chatter that is constantly trying to tell you to be better.
